YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK: JAMES HOLMES USED FEDERAL AND COLLEGE STIPENDS TO PURCHASE GUNS AND AMMO FOR BATMAN MOVIE SHOOTING RAMPAGE

Guess what? You helped to pay for the massacre!

The Batman movie shooter was receiving a $21,600 stipend in monthly installments of $2,166 from a National Institutes of Health neuroscience education grant for his enrollment in a neuroscience doctorate program at the University of Colorado-Denver Anschutz Medial Campus. Holmes also received a $5,000 stipend from Colorado University.

It has been estimated that Holmes spent $15,000 purchasing a Smith & Wesson M&P15, a Remington 870 shotgun, two .40 cal. Glock pistols, body armor and thousands of rounds of ammo. Since Holmes had no other income, all American tax payers and additionally all Colorado taxpayers (the $5,000 stipend) helped pay for the Batman movie massacre.
