MORE THAN 5,200 HOMICIDES IN L.A. COUNTY IN PAST SEVEN YEARS

The Los Angeles Times reports that more than 5,200 people have been killed in Los Angeles County from January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2013.

According to the Times, blacks - about 8% of the county's population – accounted for 33 percent of homicide victims, with the vast majority of them being black men. You can bet that all but a few of the blacks killed were killed by other blacks.

4,462 of the homicide victims were men and 758 were women.

3,858 of the victims were shot to death and 286 were killed by law enforcement officers.

There were 941 homicide victims in 2007, but that number was reduced to 593 in 2013.

White liberals and black leaders, including President Obama, keep complaining about the disproportionate number of black men in prison, but just look at the disproportionate number of killings by L.A. County’s blacks. White liberals and black leaders blame the disproportionate number of imprisoned blacks on a white racist criminal justice system. They conveniently ignore the fact that the reason so many black men are in prison is because a disproportionate number of crimes are committed by blacks.
