IF THIS WERE A MOVIE, THIS OSCAR WOULLD BE A CINCH TO WIN THE OSCAR FOR BEST ACTOR

Oscar Pistorius gave an Academy Award winning performance every day in a South African courtroom

On trial for the murder of his girlfriend, Oscar Pistorius has been sitting in a South African courtroom every day bawling like a baby during the presentation of the prosecution’s case. When taking the witness stand, he wailed while apologizing to his late girlfriend’s family and he continued to bawl while describing his version of why and how he shot her. At one point he even vomited during his testimony.

What an act! If this were a movie, this Oscar would be a cinch to win the Oscar for Best Actor.

Now if anyone believes The Blade Runner fired four shots at Reeva Steenkamp through a closed bathroom door in the belief that he was shooting at a burglar, they must still believe in the tooth fairy.

Pistorius’ version is that he and Reeva were in bed during the middle of the night on Valentine’s Day when he heard the window in his bathroom slide open. He grabbed a pistol from under the bed and, thinking Reeva was still in bed, told her to take cover. Then he hobbled over to the bathroom on his leg stumps while shouting at the ‘intruders’ before firing four Black Talon expanding bullets through the locked door. Reeva was hit in the head, hip and elbow by three of the four shots Pistorius fired through the bathroom door.

Without bothering to consider the prosecution’s presentation, I would have to conclude that Pistorius’ claim of believing he was shooting at an intruder is incredulous. Witnesses testified they heard a couple screaming at each other inside the home just before they heard the shots fired. I suspect that Reeva, in fear of a man known to have a violent temper, ran from the Blade Runner and locked herself in the bathroom. Pistorius followed her in a rage, pistol in hand, finger on the trigger, intending to shoot a frightened Reeva for infuriating him.

This seems to be a clear cut case of a murder committed by Pistorius as he raged at Reeva for some unknown reason. I just hope the three South African fact finders in this trial are not swayed by Oscar’s Oscar winning performance.
