ANOTHER RED LINE, THIS ONE DRAWN BY JOHN KERRY

Kerry seems to be oblivious to the big blooper his boss made a couple of years earlier by drawing a red line against Syria’s use of chemical weapons

Remember when in 2012 President Obama said:

We have been very clear to the Assad regime, but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized.

A year later, Assad crossed that red line by attacking Syrian rebels with sarin gas, killing an estimated 1,700 civilians.

So what did our president do? Nothing! Instead he denied ever drawing a red line. “First of all, I didn’t set a red line,” said Obama. “The world set a red line. The world set a red line when governments representing 98% of the world’s population said the use of chemical weapons are abhorrent and passed a treaty forbidding their use, even when countries are engaged in war. Congress set a red line when it ratified that treaty.”

Our Liar-in-Chief sure wiggled out of that one. He let that red line disappear with the shifting sands. You would think the Obama administration would have learned a lesson about not drawing red lines. Ah, but not so. Secretary of State has now drawn a new red line.

During a NATO conference in Wales on Friday, when talking about the fight against ISIS, Kerry said:

“I think that’s a red line for everybody here, no boots on the ground.”

What a stupid statement to make! Everyone agrees that ISIS represents a national security threat to the U.S. And if ISIS cannot be destroyed by air strikes alone, it will require boots on the ground to remove that security threat.

No wonder the Israelis think Kerry is a joke. When he enlisted Qatar and Turkey, both enemies of Israel, to negotiate a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza war, the Israeli press compared Kerry to Inspector Clouseau, but without his success.
