DEMOCRATS EXPLOITING MICHAEL BROWN IN BID TO RETAIN CONTROL OF SENATE

Blacks are being urged to vent their anger over the killing of Michael Brown by voting for Democrats in the November elections

The New York Times reports that in a bid to retain control of the Senate, the Congressional Black Caucus and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee are spearheading a drive to capitalize on black anger over the killing of Michael Brown. In Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana and North Carolina, where the black vote could be decisive, they are going to black churches and black talk radio urging black voters to honor Brown by voting for Democrats in the November elections.

Rep. John Lewis, D-Georgia, is telling blacks that “Ferguson has made it crystal clear to the African-American community and others that we’ve got to go to the polls. You participate and vote, and you can have some control over what happens to your child and your country.”

This black voter turnout drive by the Congressional Black Caucus and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee amounts to a shameless exploitation of Brown’s death. However, that exploitation just might keep the Democrats in control of the Senate.
