If you have the hankering to be an Uber driver they currently have a slot open in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Jason Dalton, 45, was an Uber driver and formerly worked as an insurance adjuster. He had no criminal record. Saturday he decided to start killing people. He managed to kill six apparently random victims over a period of hours.
The carnage started about 1800 hours near an apartment building. He shot a woman multiple times. Fortunately the woman is likely to survive.
Four hours later and 17 miles distant he shot a father and son who were checking out cars at a dealership. They both died.
Shortly after that he gunned down five people in the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel restaurant. Four of them die.
Dalton was arrested without incident shortly after midnight.
Uber declined to say whether or not Dalton was driving for them on Saturday. Their policy prohibits both drivers and passengers from carrying weapons. I guess Dalton didn’t really care about that.
Dalton was described as a quiet family man with a wife and two children.
All I can say it is a good thing that none of his victims or the people around them was armed or somebody might have actually gotten hurt.
