ARKANSAS NOW CONSTITUTONAL CARRY STATE

by Bob Walsh

A change in Arkansas law in 2013 has finally made its way thru their court system. In the case of Taff vs. Arkansas the court decided that mere possession of a weapon in public without the intent to commit a crime or the actual commission of a crime is in and of itself NOT a crime in Arkansas as long as the possessor of the weapon is otherwise in legal possession of the weapon.

Basically that translates into you can legally carry a gun in Arkansas without a permit. I am still unsure if this means CONCEALED carry, but I am working on that.

We went from a "Shall Issue" state to a "You Don't Need No Stinking Permit" state three years ago. Any non felon over 21 who has no specific restrictions from doing so may carry openly, concealed, or anywhere and how they please in Arizona. Bob, I keep tellin ya you're missing out. Move your ass down here before it's too late.

I admit the appeal is growing on me.
