THIS IS MORE THAN A LITTLE TROUBLING

by Bob Walsh

Curtis Adams is active duty navy. He was driving home with his girlfriend on the I-15 in San Diego early Saturday morning when he spotted what appeared to be a stranded motorist. He stopped to see if he could help, because he is a nice guy. As soon as Adams exited his car the "stranded motorist" opened fire on him, then drove away. Adams died.

The cops grabbed a man stopped by the side of the highway a bit further along the road driving a car matching the description of the shooter's car.

This doesn't make a lot of sense unless this was just some asswipe who decided this would be a good set-up for killing random people.

EDITOR'S NOTE The suspect identified Sunday in the murder of an active duty Navy sailor in Mountain View on Saturday was also involved another shooting minutes before, police said.

Brandon Acuna, 21, was accused in the shooting death of Curtis Adams, 21, early Saturday morning, police said.

Acuna was also involved in another shooting 10 minutes earlier near the 600 block of Boundary Street in Mount Hope, police said.

He allegedly shot at a man who interrupted his attempt to break into the man's car, according to police.
