Four officers of the West
Memphis Police Department are no longer employed after two
investigations, one internal and one by a third party, into allegations
of sexual misconduct, harassment, retaliation and favor trading.
Major
Stacy Allen, Captain Mose Walker, Officer Treasure Gaither and Officer
Blake Forthman were fired about a week ago. Also Ivora Hall, who is not
a sworn officer, is also gone.
Former
officer Jennifer Jordan, who left the department after 13 years back in
2021, asserted that she had heard complaints from multiple female
officers that they did not feel personally safe on the job due to the
ongoing issues.
Back in 2021 three women accused Major Allen of harassment and discrimination, These allegations went back at least six years.
The department has declined further comment.
