An interesting tax proposal will be on the ballot next
year. If approved by voters it would levy a one-time 5% personal wealth
tax on all the billionaires in the state. There are about 250 of
them. The tax would be payable across five years. CA wants the money
to keep Medi-Cal afloat. Medical pays significant money every year for
medical care for illegal aliens.
I wonder how the billionaires will feel about that? I wonder what they will DO about it if it passes? I know what I would do.
