Somehow, to me, that seems to be not logical. The
Natomas School District in the Sacramento area has decided to get rid of
their School Resource Officers (real cops) and replace them with Campus
Safety Specialists (not cops) to increase school safety. The
Sacramento City Police Department has diverted the SROs to routine
patrol duty due to overall police staffing issues.
The decision was announced on Wednesday so it isn't real clear which side of the equation initiated the move.
