Marvin Morales, 40, had been a Deputy Sheriff in
Sacramento County. He was separated from the S. O. about two years ago
after he was caught smoking meth on duty.
At
about 0800 this morning his mother called the local constabulary to
inform them that internal cameras in the house showed he had assaulted
their son. The cops arrived and found an 11-year old suffering from
stab wounds. The boy died. Morales had fled the scene.
The
cops spotted him on I-5 near Hwy 12 about 0930. A high speed chase
ensued, which was ended with the use of spike strips. After that a gun
fight ensued. Morales did not survive the gun fight.
