Op-Ed: ‘Don’t let people who already have them keep them’
In Friday’s Los Angeles Times, U.S. District Judge Larry Burns, who sentenced Gabrielle Giffords’ shooter to seven consecutive life sentences plus 140 years in prison, called for an outright ban on military-style weapons.
Criticizing the former ban on assault weapons and high capacity magazines as too weak, Judge Burns in calling for a new ban said this time "Don't let people who already have them keep them. Don't let ones that have already been manufactured stay on the market. I don't care whether it's called gun control or a gun ban. I'm for it."
If Judge Burns gets his way and the federal government begins to confiscate legally bought firearms from gun owners, America will seem more like a dictatorship than a democracy.

Judges are supposed to interpret and apply the law, not make it. This guy is a idiot.
