Various broadcast news outlets are reporting that on this past Monday Chicago had nine murders, a record for a week day. This was in the midst of a report from gang monitoring units that various Chicago gangs are pushing the idea of murdering Chicago cops or even feds as “payback” for the murder of black men in general, and specifically a car thief who was shot to death while fleeing in a stolen car recently.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel is against the murder of police officers, at least on the record. I thought I should let you know that.
