IMPEACHMENT, JUST NOT WHERE YOU WOULD EXPECT

by Bob Walsh

The legislature of West Virginia is now working on articles of impeachment against the entire state supreme court.

The state's House Judiciary Committee approved the action on Tuesday against the four justices. (One prior justice, Menis Ketchum, retired last month. (He is set to cop a plea to wire fraud.)

The bill charges Margaret Workman, Elizabeth Walker, Robin Davis and Allen Loughry with maladministration, corruption, incompetency and neglect of duty among other things. There are a total of 14 particulars.

The Democraps are sniveling that the timing of the impeachment, which is likely to succeed at least in part and possible in total, will allow the Republican Governor, Jim Justice, to appointment an entire new bench that will sit until the 2020 election. The old court generally split 3-2 in favor of the Democraps.
