The federal bankruptcy judge bought Eddie Lampert's $5 billion bid for Sears Holding Company. He will attempt to keep about 400 Sears and/or K-Mart stores open across the country.
We are losing one of each here in Stockton, and since one of each is all we've got that is life in the big city.
Whether he will ACTUALLY try to operate the company or strip it of assets and butcher the carcass is unknown. He SEEMS sincere, but then again Mussolini was sincere too.
