ROOKIE COP SHOT TO DEATH ON THE WAY TO WORK

Chateri Payne graduated form the Police Academy in November. She was leaving her home to report for work with the Shreveport, LA police department when she was shot multiple times. She did not survive.

A witness was detained at the scene but was not questioned. There was a person described as a child also at the house but it is unknown if that person was a witness or not. There is no known suspect at this time.
