WHO IS REALLY TO BLAME FOR THE TRAGIC DEATHS OF TWO ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CHILDREN?

Felipe Gomez Alonzo, 8, died Christmas Eve while in custody of the Border Patrol less than a month after Jakelin Caal Maquin, 7, died while being held by the Border Patrol

Two illegal immigrant children from Guatemala, Jakelin Caal Maquin, 7, and Felipe Gomez Alonzo, 8, have died while in the custody of the Border Patrol. Gomez Alonzo died Christmas Eve less than a month after Caal Maquin died.

The Democrats are blaming the Border Patrol and Trump’s immigration policy for their tragic deaths. But who is really to blame? It’s neither the Border Patrol or Trump’s policy.

I do not mean to be cold and callous, but the blame rests solely on the Guatemalan parents who dragged their little children along as they crossed the border to enter this country illegally.

I have to agree with you about 95% on this one Howie. Ideally the situation would have been noticed and dealt with by custody people. It isn't a perfect world, and someone who drags a small child over 1,000 miles, mixing with dubious people and in unsafe conditions, is courting, if not asking for, trouble and should not be surprised if trouble bites them on the ass.

Timeline leading up to the second death. It would appear that reasonable care and precautions were taken by our Border Patrol:
