Senate Democratic Leader Schmuck Schumer supports Sheila Jackson Lee and Cory Booker’s reparations bill because “Racism is poison in America.”
On Tuesday, in support of Sheila Jackson Lee and Cory Booker’s reparations bill, Schmuck Schumer said:
“Racism is the poison in America, it's in the American bones. I've tried to do a lot, but more has to be done. The legacy of slavery and Jim Crow are still with us. I don't think people understand that slavery is not far away. I think that's the biggest problem. People say, 'Oh, it happened way back then — what do we have to pay attention now?' The legacy of slavery and Jim Crow — which is a type of semi-quasi of slavery — is still with us and so we need to do a lot more.”
Reparations to the descendants of slaves, which would include almost all blacks, would punish us for the sins of our forefathers.
Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell has indicated the legislation would never come up for a vote in the upper chamber. McConnell said: “I don't think reparations for something that happened 150 years ago for whom none us currently living are responsible is a good idea. We've tried to deal with our original sin of slavery by fighting a civil war, by passing landmark civil rights legislation. We elected an African American president.”
As for Schmuck Schumer’s ‘racism in our bones’ crack, that may be true because we have been subjected daily to charges of racism whenever anyone says something that could remotely offend blacks, whenever the police have a physical confrontation with or shoot a black, and whenever any prominent black is criticized by anyone, whether that be President Trump or any ordinary Joe or Jane.

Just another attempt to buy Black votes by convincing Black folks that they are perpetual victims and are helpless without the Democrap party to protect them. It has worked in the past. It may very well work again.
