Danny
Mendoza, 53, who worked at the California Rehabilitation Center in
Riverside County, has died from Covid-19. He is the first state
Correctional Officer in CA known to have died from the bug. There are
309 employees of the department known to have been infected.
The Riverside County Coroner has not released the official cause of death.

This man should be commended. He willingly went to work in a very high risk environment for covid 19 to keep inmates, some of the most despised people in our society, safe. May he Rest In Peace
