Yes, it looks like Major League Baseball is dead and stinking for this season.  The players and the owners could not get together on compensation.  They players are demanding 70% of their base contract.  The owners are saying there is no way they can do that, and have offered either 50% or a package based on actual team income for the abbreviated season.  The players association said HELL NO.  So it looks like instead of getting a half loaf they are getting an empty bag.  

Too bad, so sad.
