ROSENSTEIN, PART 2

by Bob Walsh

Well, I watched some of the Rosenstein hearing yesterday.  It was pretty much as expected.  The real interesting thing IMHO is that he flat-out admitted that he basically winged the FISA applications that he was supposed to have carefully reviewed before they were forwarded to the FISA court.  He said he never even read all of the submissions, let alone carefully reviewed him.

So, was he complicit in a fraud against the court or merely grossly incompetent?  Senator Cruz referred to it as the Sgt. Schultz (John Banner) defense.  ("I saw nothing, I heard nothing, I know nothing.")  He didn't seem to be impressed by it.  I can't say that I blame him.  I wasn't impressed either.  I guess you feel you can half-ass fraud and conspiracy if you are confident your girl Hillary will get the brass ring and sweep everything under the rug.

So, what will be the fallout?  I am still hoping for heads on a spike, but I am expecting something between jack and diddly.

It took a long time to get to the truth. I expect some prosecution.
