A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE RITTENHOUSE CASE

On Friday, after deliberating for more than 25 hours, the jury in Kenosha, Wisconsin acquitted now 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse of all charges

Kyle Rittenhouse breaks down, hugs attorney upon hearing the jury verdict

The verdict is in. The jury found Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty on all counts.  Unless you've been living under a rock, you should pretty well know that then 17-year-old Kyle shot three people, two fatally, at a BLM anti-police rally. So I'm not going to go into the details of the case

First of all, Kyle should have stayed home, instead of going there armed with an AR-15 style rifle.  If Kyle wanted to show his support for the police, good, but go there unarmed.  Taking that rifle was really stupid, but stupidity is not a crime.

The liberals, including President Biden and VP Kamala Harris, were out for blood and were infuriated by the not guilty verdict.  They had already found Kyle guilty right after he was arrested in Kenosha on August 25, 2020.

The anger of the liberals resulted from and was fed by two years of continuous misleading reports and outright lies about the shooting and about Rittenhouse by the media which labeled Kyle as a racist, a white supremacist and a domestic terrorist.

In 2019, Nick Sandman and hiss Covington, Kentucky HS classmates visited the nations capital.  While they were at the Lincoln Memorial, they were approached by a drum-beating and chanting elderly Indian. The group surrounded the old man and joined in the chanting while a grinning Sandman stood nose to nose with the man/  Because Sandman was wearing a red MAGA cap, the media accused him of being a racist and white supremacist and wrongly concluded that he started the confrontation when in fact the Indian had done so.

Sandmann, who is wearing a Make America Great Again hat, smiles at Phillips.

Sandman sued CNN, The Washington Post and several other media organizations for defamation.  In 2020, he won a settlement of the $250 million lawsuit.  Sandman says Rittenhouse was treated the same way as he was and urged Kyle to sue the media like he did.

US Reps. Cori Bush, D-Mo., (L) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., embrace during a rally on the eviction moratorium at the US Capitol on August 03, 2021 in Washington, DC.                           Cori Bush (left) with Squad leader AOC

One of the ugliest comments about the verdict was that of AOC Squad member Cori Bush. Here is what the black congresswoman said:

"The judge. The jury. The defendant. It’s white supremacy in action. This system isn’t built to hold white supremacists accountable. It’s why Black and brown folks are brutalized and put in cages while white supremacist murderers walk free. I’m hurt. I’m angry. I’m heartbroken."

Bush is just a black uber-leftist who pukes up a bucket full of horseshit just about every time she opens her big mouth.

Personally I'm glad Kyle was acquitted on all charges.  That is not to say that I approve of what he did.  As a matter of fact, had he been charged with manslaughter, I would have voted him guilty.

The idiot should have stayed home, but if he felt it was absolutely necessary for him to demonstrate his support of the police, he should have gone to Kenosha unarmed!

My dad used to tell me from time to time that there was a lot of stuff that was perfectly legal to do that was still pretty damn stupid. Rittenhouse's actions fit into that description pretty well.

If the police had been doing what they're paid for no one would have felt the need to defend the businesses and property.

Rittenhouse should have not gone to Kenosha, but if he had gone unarmed he would probably be dead now.

Kenosha is maybe 20 miles from Kyle Rittenhouse's home. Rittenhouse worked in Kenosha. Rittenhouse's father lives in Kenosha. Rittenhouse has friends living and running businesses in Kenosha. Kenosha was on fire that night.

The cops were ordered to stand down that night. To show a presence, but do do...to protect...basically...nothing and nobody. Rittenhouse went there to protect friends, business owners, and others. The police sure as hell weren't doing it. Kyle Rittenhouse has had EMT training, and worked as a lifeguard in Kenosha. He has said his motivation was to help people. To PROTECT people. (There is at least one video showing him removing graffiti from the day before).

But Kyle wasn't stupid. He went armed to protect himself and others. And thank God he did, or he would most likely be dead himself.

When society fails to protect citizens from an angry mob...a few...a rare few...like Kyle, will take it upon themselves to do it. At great personal risk. And currently, in this country, our mainstream press goes to great lengths to smear and vilify those who do so who are not on the left.

Now he is going to sue those wpblic figures and news organizations hwo falsely portrayed his actions that night. He is going to be a very rich man..

I salute that young man. I'd like to think I'd of had the balls to do that myself at his age.

Earth to Gary. The Police were ordered to stand down.

Gary said...

Earth to Trey, ordered by who? Cops higher up the ladder, the police chief?

I doubt the business owners who lost everything feel like the taxes they paid to fund the police were worth it.

Earth to Gary (again). The mayor.

Gary said...

Dave, you must have information no one else has. The truth is the mayor asked the governor for national guard support and I have never seen a news report where the mayor was reported to have asked the police to stand down. Do you guys just make this shit up or what.

Maybe if you stopped watching CNN you'd have a different opinion Gary. I took me a couple of minutes to locate this stuff. One of the articles below is from a local Kenosha paper from a guy who actually lives there.

Dave, do you know how to read? Other than the headline nothing was said about the police being ordered to stand down. Even the headline only asigns him the blame never said he told the cops to stand down. Since you clearly can't read I didn't bother looking at the other article

"...I didn't bother looking at the other article..."

Kinda says it all Gary.

Dave, you still can't read "since you clearky can't read I didn't bother looking at the other article" left out some context didn't you.

But to be fair to you I looked up the other article which to my surprise (not) was simply a reprint of the first one, confirming my suspicion that you can't (more likely don't) read anything before forming your uninformed opinion.
