WAUKESHA PARADE KILLER MAY HAVE BEEN FLEEING ANOTHER CRIME

By Bob Walsh

Darrell Brooks Jr, 39, from Milwaukee, was detained shortly after a red SUV ploughed into the annual Christmas parade in the town of Waukesha, leaving at least five people dead and 40 injured - including at least 12 children on Sunday night. He is shown in a November 3 mugshot, when he was arrested for battery and domestic abuse

Brooks' lengthy rap sheet includes felonies for bail jumping, battery, drugs offenses, weapons offenses and domestic abuse but he has never spent a significant amount of time in prison

The man police believe drove thru a Christmas Parade was, the cops believe, fleeing another crime he had just committed.  The suspect was out on bail ($1,000) for a homicide at the time, having just been release two days prior.

There are more than 40 injured and five dead after a man the cops believe was Darrell Brooks, 39, drove thru the Christmas parade in a red SUV, plowing down grandmothers and school children among other people while fleeing.  A man named Darrell Brooks, 39, has two open cases in Milwaukee County.  One of the cases, filed November 5, was for resisting arrest, bail jumping, disorderly conduct, battery and homicide.  He was freed on a $1,000 bond on the Friday before the parade homicides.  The other case was from July of 2020 and is for reckless endangerment and illegal possession of a firearm.

The Waukesha cops are being very close-mouthed about this case.

I wonder if Brooks will be able to bail out again on $1,000.  I would suspect not.
