AOC lies about Justice Brett Kavanaugh to protect abortion

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is going to the mat for abortion, and she doesn’t care how many brazen lies she has to tell to defend it.

Ocasio-Cortez is upset the Supreme Court is likely to allow states to restrict abortion somewhat, so she chose to lash out at one of the swing votes: Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Instead of coming up with any legitimate criticism, the Instagram influencer posing as a legislator decided to peddle the lie Kavanaugh was “credibly accused” of sexual assault.

This is a lie today as much as it was in 2018. There were and are no credible accusations against Kavanaugh.

Christine Blasey Ford accused him, yes. But she still can’t say where or when it allegedly happened. She couldn’t even decide what year it happened until her third version of the story. All of the people she said were at the party where she claimed Kavanaugh assaulted her denied ever being at such a party, including her lifelong friend Leland Keyser. There is no credible evidence the two had ever met before she testified.

Meanwhile, the allegation from Deborah Ramirez that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her relies entirely on someone who heard about the alleged exposure secondhand. Several people who would have attended the party where it supposedly happened denied the story. Ramirez herself admitted she wasn’t even certain it was Kavanaugh who did it.

The lunacy of the subsequent gang-rape allegations promoted by convicted felon Michael Avenatti speaks for itself.

These are not “credible” accusations in any sense of the word.

Still, it’s the Democratic lie that will not die. Desperate for anything to delegitimize the Supreme Court if it rolls back the fabricated right to abortion, Ocasio-Cortez is knowingly repeating a falsehood. She also peddled the Democratic conspiracy theory the FBI didn’t do enough to “investigate” an alleged incident that happened maybe sometime in 1982 at some unknown location that every named witness maintains never happened.

Ocasio-Cortez may have the political ideology of a college sophomore, but she is not dumb. She knows repeating falsehoods can help her cause. This one is a political attack to rile up the Democratic base and undermine the integrity of the judicial branch. It is despicable, but it is no less than should be expected of her.
