TikToker hailed as 'hero' for calling Joel Osteen 'piece of s**t' to his face on video A TikToker's video with pastor Joel Osteen has gone viral on the internet

A TikTok video has gone viral that showed a man calling celebrity preacher Joel Osteen a “piece of shit” to his face. Reportedly, the video that also showed Osteen’s reaction to the man’s comment has garnered more than six million views. The clip was shared on the social media platform on Monday, December 6, by a TikToker named nickandsoph.

It showed the creator with the 58-year-old pastor. Both were smiling before the TikToker said, “Here with Joel Osteen. Hey man you know you’re a piece of shit right. You know right.” The video then showed Osteen moving away from the camera while laughing, which left many people shocked.

On December 7, the TikToker shared a follow-up video and revealed that he was fired from his job after the December 6 video went viral. He said: “Hey everyone, thank you so much for all the support on the video. With all that attention, I got fired this morning, so if anyone wants to buy me that beer, now would be a great time.”

Soon the comment section of his video was full of support as well as criticisms for him. A person said, “you’re the GOAT for this one.” Another noted, “Probably the greatest video on TikTok right now.” “I think this is the best video I’ve ever seen,” the third one wrote and the fourth one added: “Not all heroes wear capes.” However, there were some who slammed him. A critic commented, “why would you do this to anyone?” Another one said, “This was out of line.”

The viral video also made its way to Twitter, where people reacted hilariously. A user tweeted, “Every time I see Joel Osteen, I think I’m watching a Martin Short character from SNL.” The second one wrote, “I just saw this on tik tok and smiled but then was overwhelmed with envy that he got this opportunity.”

A tweet read, “I wanted to admit I was mildly disappointed that he didn't use the opportunity to punch Osteen in the face but that might get me banned so I won't.” Another tweet stated, “Who is my new hero???? I want to follow him. Nothing like the truth to make someone run. Lol.” “People who just laugh like that without a response you know it’s true. Praying on the week is nasty,” a comment read.

“Normally I don't condone this kind of thing, but anyone that exploiting people's faith, spirituality, & kindness can get a free pass to Toll-town Hell. You think Joel Osteen will ever rot in prison? What if he had a counterfeit $20? No, I don't feel sorry for him one bit,” a user added.

This comes almost a month after Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Texas found itself engulfed in controversy after a plumber discovered envelopes full of cash and checks behind a loose toilet. The unnamed plumber spoke about the bizarre discovery on a radio station on November 10. The Sun reported that he said, “There was a loose toilet in the wall, and we removed the tile. We went to go remove the toilet, and I moved some insulation away and about 500 envelopes fell out of the wall, and I was like ‘Oh wow!’ before adding: “I went ahead and contacted the maintenance supervisor that was there, and I turned it all in.”

I'm sure the insurance fraud will be downplayed as soon as Osteen repays the money. No complaining witness, no crime.
