On
Friday afternoon Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Steven Gevercer
grand a preliminary injunction which extends the term of the TRO
against Richard Louis Brown, president of SEIU Local 1000. The union
Board of Directors and the three union vice-presidents has been
attempting to neutralize Brown since his election ten months ago. He
was locked out of the building for a period, but managed to get back
in.
A union hearing is
scheduled for April 12 during which formalized complaints against Brown
will be heard. brown asserts that he has never received notice of that
hearing.
A 2/3 majority of the 65-member board would be required to accept or reject action against the president.
