Israel is “Primary Mediator” in Russia-Ukraine Crisis
International mainstream media acknowledge key role of Israeli Prime Minister in Russia-Ukraine negotiations

As we have been reporting for the past couple weeks, Israel Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is the key international figure in negotiating an end to the Russia-Ukraine war. And this is now being recognized by major international mainstream media outlets like the Financial Times.
In a report on the 15-point draft peace proposal that would see Ukraine drop all hopes of joining NATO and agree to limits on its military forces, the British newspaper noted that talks wouldn’t have even reached this point without Bennett’s involvement.
“Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has been the primary international mediator on the talks,” the Financial Times wrote, citing sources close to the negotiations.
Israel and Bennett in particular have come under heavy criticism for not taking a harder line against Russia and in support of Ukraine. Zelenksy himself has called into question Israel’s refusal to send weapons to Ukraine, like many other Western powers have.
The Ukrainian leader reiterated this position in a scathing address to the Knesset this week, which was immediately panned by Israeli leaders.
Consider this: If the West isn’t willing or able to take more concrete action, such as the no-fly zone Zelensky is also requesting, shipments of Israeli weapons ultimately won’t defeat the massive Russian army. Ukraine just doesn’t have the manpower, no matter how resolute their defenders.
In addition to protecting its own interests, Israel seems to believe it can do much more to bring the war to an end by acting as a viable mediator than it can by further arming the weaker party.
