There is a lot of stupid shit on TikTok. However, as far
as I can tell, not that much of it is dangerous at both sides of the
equation. This one definitely is.
There
is a thing called Orbeez Challenge. They are some sort of squishy pellet which
you are supposed to get some sort of soothing pleasure by laying with.
They are kind of like a soft, squishy paint ball I guess. However the
polymer beads can also be fired from certain types of air guns. It
seems that TikTok idiots are encouraging people to wander about shooting
people with these damn things. Also (like paint balls) sometimes kids
freeze the things so when they hit you they hurt. A lot. At least one
youngster has received some eye damage from being shot directly in the
eye by somebody "playing" this stupid game. This stupidity is now a
nationwide trend.
In one
instance several teenagers with dressed in dark clothing and ski masks
entered a restaurant with the air guns that had been painted over to
look more like real guns and started shooting at patrons. Fortunately
for them nobody had a real gun to shoot back with. Six of the little
idiots are now under arrest.
All
over the country a couple of DOZEN young people have been arrested for
this idiotic activity. Some of the charges are felonies. Some of the
targets of this action have been significantly injured.
As
far as I know nobody with a real gun has shot back. Yet. Possibly
because most of the victims of these crimes are children. But not all.
If this keeps up it will happen.
