Neither the husband or wife were injured.

The husband and wife were detained at the scene and their weapons were recovered.
Investigators determined that they shot Duque in self-defense.
Duque remains hospitalized in custody of the Houston Police Department. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

I wonder why the cops didn't file Carrying a pistol on Alcohol Premises on the robber? A felony in Texas and easy to prosecute. Oh, That's right. It was in Harris County.
