CCTV footage (L) of pool cleaner Karl Polek who was shot at by resident Bradley Hocevar, and Pinellas Sheriff Bob Gualtieri (R) holding a press conference to explain that Hocevar is protected by Florida's Stand Your Ground laws.
On June 15 Bradley Hocevar, 57, of Dunedin, Florida was
snagging some chow along with his wife at about 9 p.m. when he heard
noises coming from the lanai next to his pool. He saw a man he did not
recognize moving towards his house. He yelled at the man to "Go Away"
several times and then grabbed his Colt M-4 carbine while his wife,
Jana, called 911.
Bradley
emptied the 30-round magazine at the "intruder" who was in fact his pool
man who was there unusually late on a non-scheduled day. He missed
with all 30 rounds, which were fired from behind a couch thru a window
with the blinds closed. The pool man, Karl Polek, 33, is probably happy
with Hocevar's indifferent marksmanship.
Hocevar is not facing any charges.
EDITOR'S NOTE: I think this is stretching the Stand Your Ground laws way, way too far.

Looks like a pool man to me. Should have looked at his own cameras.
