King Charlie III has removed the OBE (Order of the British Empire) from Anthony Bailey, a former PR guy.  He went thru a very nasty divorce from Princess Marie-Theresa von Hohenberg of Austria and ended up sentenced to 12 months in the slammer for breaching the divorce agreement.  

He got the OBE in 2008 for being an all-around nice guy and helping some charities along.  

He married the young lady in 2007 and went to splitsville in 2019.  Bailey has yet to serve any time as he has remained in the U.K. and not returned to Austria where 12 months as a guest of the people await him.

It is a rare move, but not unique.  Harvey Weinstein was stripped of his OBE after his 2020 conviction on sex offense.

 

Anthony Blunt, the Queen's art curator, lost his when it was discovered he was as Soviet spy.

 

Hasseem Hamed, a professional fighter, lost his after fleeing from a car crash.

 

Rolf Harris, a former TV talking head, lost his MBE, CBE and OBE after being convicted of 12 counts of indecent assault on YOUNG girls.
