Nicholas Anthony Donofrio, 20, (left) was found dead on the front porch of an off-campus home (right top and bottom) on South Holly Street in South Carolina on Saturday. He died from a gunshot wound to his upper body just after 2a.
Donofrio, who is from Madison, Connecticut, lived on the same street as the house he entered on Saturday.
His devastated parents revealed on Sunday how they had just moved their 'loving and compassionate' son into a nearby frat house where he had planned to live with four friends for his junior year.
Donofrio was studying Kinesiology and Exercise Science at the University of South Carolina - and had previously attended Daniel Hand High School in Madison.
