John James Audubon
The Golden Gate Audubon Society
is now the Golden Gate Bird Alliance. Bird watchers in CA will no
longer be tainted by the fact that John James Audubon was a slave owner
and a Native American artifact hunter (grave robber).
When
this change was proposed to the National Audubon Society they replied
NO, I DON'T THINK SO. So apparently if you are a bird watch and are not
affiliated thru the CA chapter you are a racist asshole. Just so you
know.
