Judge Abena Darkeh
Dexter Taylor, 52, is a machinist. He also has (or at
least had) a valid FFL. He is currently a guest of the people on
Riker's Island awaiting sentencing for having the temerity to actually
build guns. (Apparently legally.)
The
judge, Abana Darken, appears to not much like guns or gun owners or
gunsmiths. She frequently interrupted Taylor's lawyers opening remakrs
and stated, "Do not bring the Second Amendment into this courtroom. It
doesn't exist here. So you can't argue Second Amendment. This is New
York." The prosecutor objected to Taylor's family even being in the
court room. He described Taylor's shop as a "horrible place."
The judge also broadly implied that the jury could face personal sanctions if they found Taylor not guilty.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 13. Taylor expects to get hammered.

New York State is a hazardous place for 2nd Amendment Rights. Yet people who own guns still live there at their own peril. (USA)
