Mountain View, California has had a plastic bag ban for over 10 years
Both houses of the legislature of the formerly great
state of California are running with legislative proposals that would
TOTALLY OUTLAW the use of plastic bags in virtually all retail
transactions.
The "single
use" lightweight plastic bag has been history for some time in most
retail environments here in CA. People either bring their own or buy
bags, at a mandatory 10 cents each. Assuming this proposal passes (a
near certainty) the state will be almost totally free of the scourge of
evil, horrible and disgusting plastic bags.
