OK,
that might be a slight exaggeration, but only slight. I honestly
believe that, IF Kamala gets the gig and IF she manages to control both
halves of the legislature she could do severe damage to the country that
could take a very, very long time to correct if it could be
corrected.
Also, Donald
Trump might very well turn things around. He also might continue to
spend a lot of money that does not need to be spent on things we don't
need. But whatever that would be it would be less than Kamala wants to
spend.
As we approach
what might be a tipping point I am hopeful but wary. It is starting to
look, despite his best efforts to fuck it up, that Trump has a better
than even chance of pulling this off. The professional betting
community is now favoring Trump over Harris by not quite 60%. Since
those guys are interested in making money and not pimping causes I am
inclined to believe them, but then I remember 2016.
This could still go either way.
Nationwide
Republicans are WAY UP on early voting. And I don't mean up from what
they usually have. I mean up from what the Democrats have, at least in
many of the battleground states. That is a good thing but does not
necessarily equate votes in the box come November 5. The curve could
change.
It still looks like
the race will be decided in Pennsylvania, and maybe Michigan and
Wisconsin. If Trump wins Pennsylvania it is very, very hard to see a
pathway to victory for Kamala. If Trump loses Pennsylvania he still has
some room to wiggle.
Remember
to sacrifice a goat to the election gods. It can't hurt, and at least
you will have some shish kabob for dinner. If you can't find a goat a
cat will do, but just don't eat it in CA. It isn't legal here.
