Robert Kagan
Robert Kagan used to be the
editor-at-large for the Washington Post. He threw a hissy-fit and quit
over the paper refusing to endorse anybody (meaning refusing to endorse
Harris) this time around. William Lewis is the Post publisher and CEO
and he made the decision to not jump onto the Harris sinking ship. Some
sources assert that the owner, Jeff Bezos, made the decision
personally. Others deny it.
Kagan
is the author of 'REBELLION. HOW ANTILIBERALISM IS TEARING AMERICA
APART-AGAIN." Kagan has strongly suggested that another Trump
presidency could destroy democracy in America and wrote the column "The
Trump Dictatorship And How To Stop It." He doesn't seem to be a neutral
arbiter.
Strangely enough (IMHO) the Post also announced it was getting out of the presidential endorsement racket completely.
Kagan
is also a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution so he probably
will not have to beg his bread in the streets this Christmas. He used
to be a semi-Republican but bailed out in 2016 so he could support
Hillary.
The Washington Post Guild also declared itself to be "deeply concerned" about the non-endorsement decision. Boo fucking hoo.
