I wonder if there are ANY closet Kamala voters. I suppose there might be a few hither and yon. I also suspect that they might be younger children in strong Republican households who are afraid of pissing off mommie and daddy. Just not that many. On the other hand I strongly suspect there is a significant number of closet Trump voters. They might be in places or families or professions where being a Trump supporter could be harmful to your inheritance or your professional advancement or your skull.
There
are a LOT of anti-Trump voters. They are loud and obvious. Not shy at
all. How many anti-Kamala voters are out there that are also out? I
suspect that there are more than a few anti-Kamala voters, many of them
minority men, who just plain think she is a fucking idiot regardless of
who she is or what she is or what her positions are, assuming you can
figure out what those positions are.
The
reason I mention it is I strongly suspect that AGAIN Trump will exceed
his polling. I saw a guy on the tube last night from Quinnipiac who
talked a lot about methodology and the fact that in 2016 and 2020 Trump
voted much better than he polled. It is hard to get people comfortable
in talking to pollsters some times.
I
admit this could be wishful thinking. I am feeling good today. I went
out and shot qualification with six of my revolvers today and even
impressed some of the CERT team tryouts at the range. I USED to be
quite good, these days I am merely competent, but competent is still
respectable. I was a beautiful day and a nice drive and all is right
with the world, so maybe all will work out right with the country in two
weeks. We can but hope.
