AT LEAST IT WASN'T AS TRIVIAL MURDER ... IT WAS ABOUT PIZZA

This little morality play ran out about one week ago in Milwaukee.  The dramatis personae are Charles J. Leggett, 38, and Jamil L. Owies, 26, the now deceased owner of Action Food and Liquor on N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Leggett was upset that the cook didn't wear gloves when he prepared his pizza.  He expressed his unhappiness at Owies, then pulled out a gun and shot Owies dead. Leggett then fled.  When apprehended Leggett admitted to the shooting but said that he insisted on a new pizza and that Owies responded badly to his demand.

Leggett is currently a guest of the people pending a $200,000 bond.  He is charged with the homicide and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.
