CATHOLIC WOMAN GETS LARGE SETTLEMENT OVER COVID VACCINE REFUSAL FIRING

By Bob Walsh

LIsa Domski was awarded over $12 million by a jury after she was fired from her job for not getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

LIsa Domski with her attorney Jon Marko, outside the federal courthouse in Detroit on Nov. 8, 2024.

Lisa Domski used to work for Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Michigan.  She was with them for 38 years as an IT tech.  She refused to get a Covid vaccine on religious grounds and her employer fired her ass back in 2021.

She was just awareded $13 million by a federal jury in a religious discrimination suit against her former employer.   Her employer asserted they were unaware of her claim for religious exemption.  She had made the request in writing with contact info for her priest and parish.  She alleges the employer never followed up but simply sacked her.

The ruling came one month after Blue Cross of Tennessee bit the big wennie to the tune of $700,000 for a similar case.

There are about 170 lawsuits of a similar vein pending against Blue Cross, most being handled by the same lawyer, Jon Marko, who I expect is very happy right about now.

Blue Cross is reviewing the judgement and exploring their options.
