Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency medical service treated a 70-year-old woman for smoke inhalation and evacuated her to Petah Tikva’s Beilinson Hospital. A 23-year-old man sustained minor injuries from the blast in Petah Tikva, and several other individuals suffered minor injuries on their way to shelters, according to MDA.

Hezbollah also launched some 30 rockets at Haifa, Nahariya and surrounding areas in the afternoon, hitting several buildings in both cities. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

Earlier in the day, Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency medical service treated a 51-year-old woman for shrapnel wounds before evacuating her to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya for further care. She was wounded by a direct hit on a factory in Ma’alot-Tarshiha in the Western Galilee. The rocket, one of 30 in the barrage, caused extensive damage to the building.

A man in his 60s sustained moderate injuries while making his way to a shelter during the same attack, according to Channel 12.

Shortly afterward, a 25-rocket barrage was launched at the Upper Galilee, with some of the projectiles being intercepted and others impacting in open territory, according to the Israeli military.

Sirens also sounded three times in the evacuated border town of Metula during the morning hours.

Earlier in the morning, the Iranian terror proxy launched six rockets at central Israel, according to the IDF. Five of the rockets were intercepted and one fell in open territory.

The attack, which occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m., triggered sirens in the Dan, Sharon and Menashe regions, including the seaside cities of Netanya and Herzliya north of Tel Aviv.

No injuries were reported, according to MDA.

Red alerts were also heard in Kiryat Shmona and Margaliot near the border with Lebanon on Sunday morning, as well as in Safed and the surrounding area. Israel’s Channel 12 news reported that two rockets had been fired at Safed, causing no injuries or damage.

Hezbollah has launched some 16,000 rockets, missiles and drones from Lebanon at Israel since joining the war in support of Hamas on Oct. 8, 2023, a day after the Gaza-based terrorist group’s massacre in southern Israel. Over 60,000 residents of northern Israel remain internally displaced due to the ongoing rocket and drone attacks from Lebanon, which have caused widespread material damage and multiple deaths and injuries.
