House Bill 172 to Repeal Gun
Free Zones and Preemption Amendments has passed the Wyoming House of
Representatives and is moving on to the Senate.
Several school districts in Wyoming already permit staff to carry weapons.
The
people pushing this bill point out (correctly) that mass shooters have
been KNOWN to pick on targets that prohibit weapons. They liken the
current policy to having a sign on your front lawn announcing to
potential bad guys that guns are prohibited at your home and expecting
that to keep you safe.

I've spent some time in Wyoming. I always concealed carry and a lot of people open carry. LEOSA allows Honorably Retired Cops to even carry in Yellowstone N.P. I never saw a GUN FREE ZONE sign. Not one.
If it's a gun free zone, it should be a gun free zone. That would mean no one (including the police) should be allowed to have guns in the area, I don't understand why we keep making special rules for the police and former police.
