The alleged hanky panky took place inside the 34th Precinct station house in Washington Heights.
Two married NYPD cops allegedly carried on a scandalous affair right under their colleagues' noses and left behind not-so-savory clues to their romp sessions in the precinct.
Special Operations Lt. Michael Disanto and former domestic violence Sgt. Christina Ortiz 'engaged in an inappropriate sexual relationship inside precinct offices,' according to a complaint filed by Lt. Emilio Rodriques with the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The two would not only leave broken fingernails in the wake of their passionate encounters, the shocking filing, obtained by the New York Post, also claims Disanto would come out of both her office and the commander's office 'adjusting himself'.
'They would go lock up in her office anywhere maybe between 30 minutes and an hour,' Rodriques told The Post.
'These encounters were so blatant that physical evidence, including broken nails, was left behind, reinforcing how openly this misconduct was occurring,' the complaint says.
The filing alleges Ortiz regularly abandoned her domestic violence duties to keep Disanto company.
'Despite her official role, Ortiz spent significant time "entertaining" Disanto, which prevented her from fulfilling her responsibilities,' Rodriques claimed.

'Their relationship directly affected the functioning of the department, as Ortiz frequently abandoned her official duties to spend extended periods with Disanto, often in the domestic violence office and the commanding officer's office,' the filing says.
But when Rodriques tried to blow the whistle on the alleged improper relationship, he claims he says he faced retaliation.
The married officers allegedly branded him 'unstable,' leading to his forced transfer and ordered psychological evaluation in Queens.
The pair's commanding officer, Aneudy Castillo, allegedly swept the affair under the rug because Disanto was part of his inner circle - which they dubbed 'the mafia,' according to the bombshell complaint.
'Castillo was aware of Disanto and Ortiz's misconduct and failed to take disciplinary action because Disanto was part of the 'family,' the complaint alleges.
The scandal is just the latest for the troubled NYPD.
Last month, federal agents raided the home of Jeffrey Maddrey, the former Chief of Department of the NYPD, amid allegations he repeatedly wielded his power to procure sex from a subordinate and granted her excessive overtime to secure her silence.
The Manhattan US Attorney's Office is spearheading the investigation, Tisch confirmed at the time.

In his former role, Maddrey oversaw the department's crime-fighting strategies, quality-of-life programs and operations.
Maddrey, who abruptly resigned amid the allegations late last month, has strongly denied the accusations. Following his resignation, John Chell was appointed interim Chief of Department, and Tisch officially removed the interim title on New Year's Eve.
'At my direction, the Internal Affairs Bureau of the New York City Police Department is working with law enforcement authorities to investigate allegations against former Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey,' Tisch said in a Jan. 2 statement.
'Maddrey was suspended from the Department this morning, as law enforcement agents executed search warrants at several locations, including his residence. Any further inquiries about this matter should be directed to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York.'
Also this month, two married New Jersey police officers were arrested after allegedly sharing nude images of themselves with their children in the background and bragging about having sex in front of them online.
Officers Brian DiBiasi, 39, and Elizabeth DiBiasi, 42, were arrested following a tip to law enforcement about their alleged online activities.
Brian was fired from the Hamilton Police Department after he was accused of using the messaging app Kik to send 'image and video files of suspected child sexual exploitation and abuse material', New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin said in a statement.
During an investigation into the images, authorities allegedly found lewd images of him with his wife, Elizabeth, who is a deputy with the Mercer County Sheriff's Office, and their children.
Brian allegedly shared 36 naked pictures and videos of his wife with their children depicted nearby, and his chat logs 'mentioned children being present while he and his wife had sex', Platkin said.

NYC Cops are an embarrassment to the nation.
I don't think it's fair to single out NYPD as an embarrassment. Sexual misconduct by cops occurs all over the country in both large and small police departments.. Actually NYPD is a very good law enforcement agency, one of the best in the nation.
