GOVERNOR OF MAINE IN ILL-ADVISED PISSING CONTEST

Yesterday Janet Mills, the Governor of Maine, got into a pissing contest with President Trump over Title 9 and $250 million.

Governor Mills seems to think she is the big dog.  She isn't.  She informed the Orange Man that Maine is going with it's own interpretation and law and will continue to allow men pretended to be women to compete in girls and womens athletics.  Trump pointed out to her that, if she does that, it will cost her $250 million dollars in federal funds.  Her response was that she will see him in court.  He responded similarly.  He also pointed out that while he did not win Maine he got a large chunk of the Maine vote and that the tide of public opinion is AGAINST allowing transgenders compete as women.  

Trump also openly and somewhat snidely expressed interest in what Ms. Mills was planning to do after she was no longer the governor and he was pretty sure he political options would be in the shitter.  

Trump is doing exactly what he said he would do and it isn't standing around scratching his ass waiting for somebody else to do it.  You might not like what he is doing but you can't say he didn't give fair warning.

My guess, for what my guess is worth, is that when the courts get done with this they will determine that transsexuals are NOT considered female for the purposes of Title 9.  That is a fair and reasonable outcome and I think that's what it will be.  I also think that is what it SHOULD be.  Sometimes the two coincide.
