ANTISEMITIC GRAFFITI SPREADER IN FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS

Arrest Made in Friendswood Antisemitic Graffiti Case

FRIENDSWOOD — Police say a suspect has been arrested in connection with a series of antisemitic graffiti incidents that occurred earlier this month.

On October 22, officers arrested 19-year-old Derek West of Houston for Evading Arrest and charged him in connection with multiple graffiti cases in the Friendswood area.

According to the Friendswood Police Department, an analyst with the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office recognized West from a video posted to social media on October 21 and alerted Friendswood detectives. Investigators say West had previously fled from a Brazoria County deputy during a traffic stop on October 6, abandoning his dirt bike and several cans of spray paint.

That same evening, West was reportedly seen in several videos defacing public property in Friendswood with antisemitic graffiti.

Members of the Friendswood Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Field Support Unit arrested West near his Houston home on Wednesday. He was taken into custody on a Brazoria County warrant for Evading Arrest or Detention stemming from the October 6 incident.

Galveston County has also accepted Felony Graffiti Pecuniary Loss charges related to the Friendswood cases.

Police thanked the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance, saying critical intelligence shared between agencies helped lead to the arrest.

Yep. He looks like a real mental giant! Hope he likes County Jail. Sunday is fried baloney supper with apple sauce and a giant dill pickle. There's been some asses kicked over those big dill pickles.
