National SJP hails Hamas’s ‘Death to collaborators’ campaign
Its tactics and playbook are ramping up. For the safety of all, universities in the United States should be encouraged to remove its campus chapters.

Ever since Students for Justice in Palestine was founded 32 years ago, it has been a pro-terror, antisemitic scourge on college campuses in the United States.
SJP propagandizes for U.S.-designated terror organizations, including Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP); incessantly demands antisemitic boycotts against Israel as part of the BDS movement; calls for “student intifadas,” the “right of resistance” and armed rebellion; passes antisemitic university resolutions when Jewish students are absent due to holidays; collaborates with and promotes other virulent pro-terror groups such as the PFLP-affiliated Samidoun; has perpetrated physical assaults against pro-Israel students; and disrupts and harasses pro-Israel events, speakers and students, as well as entire campuses.
The 2016 Brandeis University report on the “hot spots” of antisemitic and anti-Israel harassment and hostility towards Jews on U.S. campuses found that: “One of the strongest predictors of perceiving a hostile climate toward Israel and Jews is the presence of an active Students for Justice in Palestine group on campus.”
An article titled “You Do Not Owe Them a Fair Fight” in SJP’s national magazine and newsletter, “The Written Resistance” (Issue 5, October 2024) recommends relentless SJP tactics, borrowed from Mao Tse-Tung. These include recognizing that “we are engaged in combat”; “obstructing new student orientations and enrollments, interfering in university reputation-building efforts, targeting the buildings in which profit-generating activity is conducted”; targeting routes through which money moves; “attack[ing] dispersed isolated enemy forces first”; and “disrupt[ing] their business as usual.”
Further, “if the enemy thinks he has dispersed your forces by securing your retreat from one building, you must quickly reappear in another building. Give them no chance to rest or find their footing.”
We’ve repeatedly seen these SJP tactics in action.
Attorneys Susan Tuchman, director of ZOA’s Center of Law and Justice, and Liz Berney, ZOA director of special projects, have each testified before legislatures about SJP demonstrations chanting “Jews out of CUNY!”; “Death to Jews!”; “Long live the intifada!”; and “There is only one solution: Intifada revolution!”
Calling for an intifada is a call to murder Jews.
University rules are habitually ignored. Just this week, after the University of Louisville temporarily suspended its Samidoun/PFLP-supporting SJP chapter for disrupting the inauguration of the university president (whom SJP calls “Genocide Gerry”), the suspended SJP chapter returned twice to build and rebuild an encampment.
Hamas murdered, kidnapped, raped, wounded and tortured thousands of men, women and children on Oct. 7, 2023, and SJP cheered the actions of the terror group based in Gaza, expanding and spearheading a full-blown antisemitic onslaught that made campuses such as Columbia University unsafe for Jewish students and faculty.
Amcha Initiative’s tracker indicates that there are now about 475 active SJP chapters.
National SJP, which supports, trains, provides materials and initiates campaigns for SJP groups on campuses throughout the country, falsely accused Israel of committing genocide; absurdly accused “the Zionist entity” of killing “600,000-plus martyrs” within the past two years (a number that is 10 times more than Hamas’s exaggerated phony claims); bragged about SJP chapters continuing to “rise up” for Gazans by fighting against their campuses’ “complicity in genocide”; and declared “weeks of rage” for Gaza.
In 2024, National SJP also launched “a coordinated pressure campaign against administrations and trustees” called “the Popular University for Gaza,” asserting that they would “dismantle the system itself” and that “SJP chapters across the nation will seize the university and force the administration to divest for the people of Gaza.”
Ironically, the so-called SJP “fighters against Gazan genocide” and seizers of universities “for the people of Gaza” have of late joined Hamas’s genocidal offensive against fellow Gazans!
Now that Hamas is using its ceasefire with Israel to perpetrate barbaric public executions, home invasions and massacres against rival Gazan families—justifying these murders by claiming that the murdered Gazans are “collaborators”—National SJP has adopted Hamas’s policy of “death to all collaborators!”
A few days ago, on Oct. 12, National SJP glorified as a “martyr” a Hamas propagandist who celebrated the atrocities of Oct. 7, who was killed in Hamas’s clashes with the rival Gazan Doghmoush clan. National SJP then demanded: “Death to the occupation! Death to Zionism! Death to all collaborators!”
National SJP also insisted that the fight against Zionism’s collaborators “must continue” and that “collaborators have no place in a liberated future.”
Its demand to murder collaborators, including Hamas’s rivals in Gaza, demonstrates that SJP does not care one whit about “Palestinians.” It simply fronts for Hamas and other terror groups. As a recent New York Post editorial wisely commented, SJP “just outed itself as actually being Students for Terror in Palestine … SJP plainly will amplify whatever lie Hamas sells. … The only “justice” it supports is the triumph of the terrorists and the slaughter of Jews.”
SJP’s call for “death to collaborators” likely does not stop with Hamas’s rivals in Gaza.
Earlier this month, National SJP, which renamed university boards “Boards of Butchers,” called on “all students” to join SJP’s week of rage to “Break the Butchers.”
In keeping with the Saul Alinsky “Rules for Radicals” playbook to “personalize” attacks, “Break the Butchers” posts by National SJP target individual university board members. These frightful SJP posts depict individual board members with red beams shooting into and obliterating the board members’ eyes.
The targeted board members include Cynthia Hogan (Oberlin College); Betsy Berns Korn (Claremont McKenna College); George Oliver (Worcester Polytechnic Institute); Ronald Gray (University of Alabama); Vimal Kolappa (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill); Blaine Luetkemeyer (University of Missouri); Gerald Colella (University of Massachusetts); Mary Barra (Duke University); Paul C. Harris (University of Virginia); John B. Frank (Wesleyan University); multiple officials of the University of Pittsburgh; Michael J. Pilot (University of New Hampshire); Douglas Rachlin (Tufts University); and Adam Norwitt (Georgetown University).
Other SJP “Break the Butchers” posts target entire university boards, including the boards of the University of San Francisco, Cleveland State University and McEwan University.
After decades of SJP’s other horrors, this month’s National SJP-initiated campaigns—calling for murdering “collaborators” and “breaking the butchers” (targeting individual university board members)—should convince every university in North America to finally ban SJP from their campuses; expel SJP leaders; turn over to ICE the names of foreign SJP students for deportation; and report to federal authorities SJP members who provide support for Hamas, which violates Title 18 US Code 2339B prohibiting material support to a designated U.S. Foreign Terrorist Organization.
SJP will not give in easily. It is backed by radical funders (American Muslims for Palestine and various far-left foundations) and radical legal organizations (Palestine Legal, the National Lawyers’ Guild). But if universities fail to take strong action, SJP will only continue and expand its malevolent terror-supporting activities.
