The other night I watched 'An Omar Broadway Film' on HBO. In 2004, Broadway was an inmate in Northern State Prison when someone smuggled him a camcorder. NSP is a maximum security prison and Broadway was in a special lock-down unit composed of dangerous and violent Bloods and Crips gang members.
For about four months, Broadway filmed the conflicts between correctional officers and inmates in that joint. Maybe you saw this documentary. If not, I'm sure HBO will repeat it several times.
Here is the most amazing part of this film. Not only was Broadway’s camcorder not detected all that time, but correctional officials also were clueless about the cellphones he and his cellmate had.
