An unpermitted and badly installed hot tub in the town of Cobb triggered a massive fire in Lake County last year. That fire killed four people, destroyed about 1,300 homes and burnt more than 76,000 acres.
The culprit is known and has admitted to what happened. I wonder if his homeowner’s insurance will cover $1.5 billion and four dead people. I sort of doubt it.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Holy shit! And here I’ve always been led to believe that hot tubs were designed for couples or a threesome to have wild sex, not trigger wildfires.
