IT REALLY IS STILL A HORSE RACE

By Bob Walsh

Right now the official odds favor Hillary by about 4%. Depending on which poll you are looking at that is either barely within or barely outside the acknowledged margin of error.

I really believe that there will be a significant closet Trump vote. I also believe that there is a significant block of new voters who are, by their nature, not polled and who will go either pro-Trump or at least anti-Hillary. I also believe that political inertia is real and that in this particular election it heavily favor's Trump.

Will it be enough? I am hoping it will, but I am not betting any money on it, or at least any more than the $5 I already have on the table with my lady friend. It is hard to run against Santa Claus. Also, it is a fact that the Democrats are better at lying than the Republicans are at telling the truth.

One thing is for sure, a profoundly defective person will be out next President. I favor the essentially honest profoundly defective person. If we are very lucky by sunup on Wednesday we will know. I have to go in that day for my prostate exam. That is somehow completely appropriate.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Bob, start practicing, Madam President, Madam President, Madam President, etc. Your lady friend can hold a barf bag for you while you’re doing it.

I'm usually a positive outlook person. No matter who wins, a 20 Trillion dollar debt is almost insurmountable. This country is circling the drain. Neither candidate is appealing and our congress is as crooked as a bag of snakes. When congress makes laws for the people and then exempt themselves from the law we no longer live in a democracy.

Get ready. I believe a correction in government for and by the people is coming and it ain't going to be pretty.
